Danielle Fleming
Executive Director


Danielle Fleming is the Founder and Executive Director of The LOVE Project NC. Born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, she is a passionate advocate for youth, families, and individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Danielle earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Livingstone College. She discovered her passion for serving individuals with special needs while working in a group home and has since dedicated more than 15 years to supporting, encouraging, and advocating for individuals with diverse needs.

In 2017, Danielle founded The LOVE Project NC to create meaningful opportunities for mentorship, inclusion, personal growth, and community support. Through the organization’s youth programs and outreach initiatives, she works to help young people and families feel heard, supported, valued, and empowered. Her leadership is rooted in the organization’s guiding principles: Listen, Overcome, Value, and Empower.

Danielle is also a devoted mother and woman of faith who strives to keep God at the center of everything she does. Outside of her professional and community work, she enjoys cooking, exercising, listening to music, learning new things, and spending quality time with family and friends.

Marvin Clowney
Vice Chair

 

 Marvin Clowney serves as Vice Chairperson of The LOVE Project NC. Born and raised in Concord, North Carolina, he is a graduate of Campbell University, where he studied Graphic Design and Computer Science.

One of Marvin’s most rewarding professional experiences was serving as Program Manager for the Q Foundation, Inc. WIA Youth Program. In this role, he worked closely with at-risk youth throughout Mecklenburg County, providing guidance, encouragement, and support while building meaningful connections that have lasted throughout the years.

As a member of The LOVE Project NC, Marvin brings his creativity, leadership, and passion for mentorship and community empowerment to the organization. He is committed to helping young people recognize their potential and creating opportunities for families to feel supported, valued, and empowered.

Marvin is a devoted father of three and a proud grandfather. In his personal time, he enjoys staying active and maintaining a healthy lifestyle so he can keep up with the family he loves.

Shelia Fleming
Secretary

 

Shelia Fleming serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for The LOVE Project NC. She is a retired administrative professional with more than 20 years of experience across the education, social services, finance, and trucking industries.

A proud graduate of Livingstone College with a degree in Sociology, Shelia brings wisdom, warmth, dependability, and strong organizational and communication skills to the organization. In her role as Board Secretary, she helps maintain accurate records, supports communication among board members, and contributes to the continued growth and structure of The LOVE Project NC.

Shelia enjoys listening to music, cooking, decorating, and spending quality time with her family. Guided by her faith, she lives by the belief that with God, all things are possible.

Brandie Fleming- Operations & Administrative Coordinator


Brandie Fleming is a caring, dependable, and highly organized person who enjoys bringing structure to ideas and helping others stay on track. She is known for her attention to detail, willingness to help, and calm, supportive presence. Brandie believes that meaningful change often begins with people who are willing to serve faithfully behind the scenes. She is proud to support the mission of The LOVE Project NC and contribute to work that strengthens young people, families, and the community.

Carisse Turner- BLAZE & Outreach Coordinator


Carisse Turner is compassionate, encouraging, and passionate about seeing young people recognize their value and reach their full potential. Her warm personality and genuine love for others allow her to build meaningful connections with children, families, and community members. Carisse believes every young person deserves to feel supported, empowered, and prepared for life. She is excited to grow alongside The LOVE Project NC while helping create positive experiences and lasting opportunities for those the organization serves.

NaBrittany Byers- Program Support Coordinator


NaBrittany Byers is a compassionate, dependable, and community-minded individual who believes in encouraging others and helping them recognize their potential. She brings a warm personality, a collaborative spirit, and a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of young people and families. NaBrittany values personal growth, meaningful relationships, and creating opportunities for others to feel supported and empowered. She is proud to share her time and talents with The LOVE Project NC and its mission of serving the community through love and purpose.
